February's Sharing Goodness

During the years I've handcrafted organic, plant based skincare I've often spoken out against “the beauty industry” and their manipulative advertisements targeting our daughters with their not so subtle message “you're not enough” and I observed first hand that over time, with enough peer pressure and manipulative advertisements, our young girls begin to lose their confidence, self-esteem and fail to value their unique, authentic beauty.  I caught this manipulation years ago when my daughter was “pre-teen” (a child) and obviously, I was not having it - nor was Beth, mother to 4 beautiful daughters and I've never read a finer article confronting “the beauty industry” than the one I share here.  Although I don't know Beth personally, I admire her for many reasons, reasons you'll discover if you peruse her article and offerings.  If you parent a daughter or a son, please read here
